About Katelyn Faith

Katelyn Faith

Welcome to KatelynFaith.info, the official website of Katelyn Faith, a teen author of the book 'Daily Dos of an Eating Disorder to Recovery.' Katelyn's writing reflects her personal journey of recovery from anorexia, offering a unique perspective on mental health and resilience. Her engaging narratives aim to inspire and empower readers, especially young adults, while shedding light on the challenges of overcoming an eating disorder.

At just 15 years old, Katelyn entered treatment for anorexia—a journey that would come to define not only her recovery but her purpose. Like many who struggle with eating disorders, she wrestled deeply with ambivalence toward recovery. The pull between wanting to get better and the comfort of the illness was a constant battle. But through intensive care, relentless inner work, and what she describes as the unwavering grace of God, she began to take her first true steps on the path to healing.

In the quiet, structured space of treatment, Katelyn discovered the transformative power of writing. What started as an outlet for the complex swirl of emotions and thoughts became a tool of healing. Writing allowed her to explore the depths of her pain, her hopes, and her evolving identity. It wasn’t long before she realized that her words didn’t just help her—they had the power to reach others. And with that realization came a new passion: helping people who were walking a similar path.

Supporting others in their recovery journey became more than just a coping mechanism—it became a calling. The act of encouraging others to choose life strengthened her own resolve. Recovery, she realized, wasn’t something she wanted to experience once and leave behind. It was a lifelong commitment—a daily choice to fight, to grow, and to give back.

When she left treatment, something inside her had shifted. She no longer just needed recovery—she wanted it. Empowered by that shift and driven by the impact her writing had already made, she made the courageous decision to publish her first book, written during treatment, at the age of just 16.

Her story quickly gained attention. She was featured in a local magazine and invited to speak on a podcast about the impact of social media on mental health—a conversation that ultimately led her to appear on one of the leading podcasts dedicated to eating disorder awareness. Her authenticity and strength resonated widely.

But her advocacy didn’t stop with storytelling. Katelyn began organizing awareness booths, sending handwritten encouragement cards to treatment centers across the country, and engaging in grassroots outreach efforts. Her dedication and passion even caught the eye of national media, leading to a feature in Teen Vogue—a surreal moment that underscored just how far her voice could reach.

Recovery, she knows, is not linear and never easy. But it is full of moments that remind you why it's worth it. Through it all, Katelyn remains committed to spreading hope, breaking stigma, and reminding others that healing is not only possible—it can be beautiful.
